Yesterday

Yesterday Sam stood with very little support with one of his therapists. He was always able to bare weight on his legs but never for this long and certainly not with this little support. Sam also was never able to hold his upper body up like you see in the picture. We had another small miracle last night as well. Sam said "more" perfectly while we were playing peek-a-boo. He has always voiced a pseudo more but was not able to say the "m" sound. But he did last night, YEAH!

This is not just miracles this is the pure fruit of the love+ support that you're giving Sam and the hard work of everyone around him. You will soon be surprised by many more "miracles" and with god's help he will soon be like any other child at his age.
Love to all, can't wait to see you next month.

Working with Sammy for the past month has been inspiring!I am a SE teacher for 24 yrs doing EI and these parents are incredible and Sammy is aresult of their input and love.... Today Sammy learned quickly how to press the blocks on a Baby Eistein musical toy. He is using vocalizatons, eye gaze, reaching grossly to desired toy or object to tell me what he wants. Now we want him to stand and play, to make choices ,to use trial and error strategies to explore his environment. Patty and I are in constant contact as to where we are moving in our program with Sammy. Cognition is his strength and will give him the motivation to move and explore.
Enjoy!

Carrie you're one of the strongest people I know. Sam is a lucky baby to have you and Scott as his parents. Keep following your instincts and follow the path as it unfolds. You and Scott are truly amazing !!( and Grandma Lorraine too!!)
All Our love,
