Bridge Over Troubled Water...

I don't know about anyone else but I happen to find music to be extremely healing, uplifting, mellowing, empowering, etc...

Sam is not doing well again, at first I thought it was probably a virus but now I am thinking maybe his feedings again. What else is new??? I can't even get into it right now or I might vomit. I am trying to concentrate on preparing for the grad course that I will be teaching in 2 weeks from (pause) tomorrow actually. Oh boy I better get crack-a-lackin... Anyway its a pretty sullen day, it's pouring, I'm depressed, Sam is in pain, and Scott is miserable. I'm sitting at my desk totally distracted and the only thing I can do is listen to Art Garfunkel belt out Bridge Over Troubled Water. I am the freaking Bridge Over Troubled Water minus the heroin (yes that's what this song is about). Quite honestly I'd rather be Mrs. Robinson.

The point is we have all been in this kind of mood before. So what song or music do you all listen to when you find yourself alone and sad during a tropical depression????

Bad Day by Daniel Powter. I had a hard time one day and this song came on the radio. It was like yes, that's the way I fell right now.

Hope you all have better days ahead!

You are so right about music. I can't possibly pinpoint a favorite for I have way too many. However, as of recently I am a big fan of John Mayer and Jack Johnson. That there is good stuff.

I know you will all laugh at me but I just love Air Supply. And Chicago. That stuff is great when you are depressed. Music rocks!

I have to say I for one do not listen to music when I am depressed, I lie and down and think of two things
One all the others in this world that have it worse than me
and
Two the email joke about the rectal thermometer tests!
And then I laugh until I cry and it all seems ok

Sorry to hear about Sam. You'll get your class together, you always do!

Hope to touch base soon so we can catch up.

Muchos besos!

Thanks to you, I too listen to Bridge Over Troubled Water when I am down. My parents, I am sure, will thank you for my playing it incessantly back in high school. :)Kelly

Love Shelby Lynne...although Molly would reccomend that you listen to Mickey Mouse...that always seems to make her feel better!

When I am down I sing that song in my head, "One day at a time"... For a while there it was our family theme song.

Then, I look for a funny friend and MAKE her take me out so I can drown my tears into a tall Bacardi & coke. (Ok, more than one)

Then, I go home, sleep really good and start over!

That's just me.... :-)
I hope you all feel better soon!
XOXOXO

P.S. Try songs that make you want to get up and dance. Screw the sappy stuff, get up an shake it out!
