Christmas Cheer!

Yeah I know, I know... but I was brought up celebrating Christmas what can I say. Christmas for me was never about Jesus anyway, its always been about spending time with family, baking great cookies, eating, and watching lots and lots of movies in our living room by the fireplace. I miss having a fire place, and I miss being able to lay down all day watching movies. So in the spirit of the season what is your favorite Christmas movie ever. I am sure my favorite movie may be mostly everyone elses too. Let's see...

Hey...I just answered this on Cafemom! I too wrote "It's A Wonderful Life." It's a movie of perspectives and these days -- my whole life is about perspectives and the "big picture."

Wow, I have no idea. I have never seen "Its a wonderful life" and can't remember a single Christmas movie. I have definitely heard many Christmas songs though.

Merry Christmas to you and your family--and to young Sam, may he thrive and flourish in 2008. Hope you have a restful, relaxing holiday season (full of laughter, cheer...and books).

Tim Burton's "The nightmare before christmas". This is what happens I guess when you live in a country where the closest you'll get to christmass is by watching "Home Alone". I can hear the soundtrack as I am writing...

It's a Wonderful life. Miracle on 34th Street and Emmet Otters Jugband Christmas

Wow, Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas... That is one I totally forgot about and was definitely a fav back in the day. Good call! Ok so I was wrong, my favorite is not exactly everyone else's. My all time fav that I could watch about 50 billion times is "A Christmas Story". And I am really embarassed to say I have never seen "It's a Wonderful Life." Should I make it my business to watch it this year???

Hi Carrie,

This is Linda (Celia's mom). I was the one who came up with Emmet Otter Jugband Christmas. We just want to say hi and wish you and your family much success for the new year.

In answer to your question, yes, the movie is definitely worth seeing - I only saw it for the first time a couple of year ago.
